The play is tonight. That will be interesting. Though I'm concerned the play might be cursed. Strange things keep happening during rehearsals. Mittens fell through the stage last week and the week before that, well, I'm sure we're all aware what happened the week before that.

I've packed all of Ligeia's things so I suppose we really are done with her. Mittens, you needn't worry about wooing her back now. I'm sure Sloper will take care of that. And Wiggleswade. I'm really quite disappointed it came to this. I really did try to convince her to see reason. Anyway, I know I'm being silly. It isn't worth being upset over.

Guns are very loud and difficult to aim. I'm thankful we don't use them when we hunt at home. They don't strike me as especially practical. You would have to remove the projectile from your kill. And if you miss, the sound alone would startle your prey away.

I've decided to write my essay on how much I dislike when our peers misbehave. Do you think that's an acceptable topic? I couldn't think of anything else to write and I'm worried Professor Carrow expects something more evocative. I genuinely do dislike it, though. I just feel very nervous.

I'm afraid I'm not very knowledgeable about Muggle diseases. Aside from what we've discussed in class, of course. But I was wondering if someone might be willing to help me decide on one, please. I'm not really sure where to begin.

I can't believe they're being so awful to you where everyone can see. Especially on what was a very helpful update from Pansy. Do you really know what wanking is, though?

I didn't realise the hoops they use for Apparation lessons were meant to bite people. I suppose that is good incentive to learn it quickly, but now I'm worried about being bitten as well as splinching myself. It is exciting, though, learning to Apparate. I can't say I'll never walk somewhere again, but it will make delivering lunch to my father and brother much easier this summer.

Did anyone else spy Uranus and Venus near one another Thursday night? It's meant to be a very good month to see the other planets since there are going to be six visible planets this month. I think it's comforting how constant the planets and the stars are. They will always be there exactly when and where they're meant to be. Except when they're feeling unpredictable, but that's to be expected. Everything is unpredictable from time to time. The sky is just usually less so.

I rather enjoyed Dark Arts today. Once I demonstrated the curse for Professor Carrow, I took my crup outside to bond with him and he's really quite well-behaved. I haven't named him yet, but from what I understand we'll be sharing our crups with seventh years so I'd really rather come to a mutual consensus. So if you choose the crup with my name on the tag please let me know and we can come to a decision together. I also hope you'll be kind to our crup, as he did nothing to deserve any harm that may befall him. Thank you in advance and I look forward to taking good care of our crup together.

Hello, Theodore. I was wondering if anyone had informed you that Imogen's name was on the board today in Dark Arts class. Assumedly because of something Victoria Frobisher's done because it was after her name. I thought you might want to know. They still haven't told anyone what the names mean, though.

There are naked women in my Muggle book. Why aren't they wearing clothes? Have they no self-respect? Or decency? Who would even bring this to school? It's vile!

I do hope all this rain won't prevent us from seeing the Quadrantids. I'd hoped to get to the Astronomy Tower early tomorrow morning, but not if I'll see raindrops and clouds instead of meteors. I did catch a bit of the shower while I was at home, so I won't be too disappointed. But there's nothing quite like catching it while it's at its peak.
